Two babies. Five countries. One unstoppable nappy-changing lotion.

We’re Laura and Gus, the French-Aussie duo behind Cheeky Bébé, bringing a touch of natural French baby care to Australian families.

Everywhere we travelled - from Zhuhai to Melbourne - there was one baby essential we couldn’t live without: liniment oléo-calcaire, a gentle, natural French baby lotion that replaces baby wipes.

Used with an organic cotton pad, it cleans, hydrates, and protects your baby’s delicate skin. Guarding against nappy rash, it’s better for the planet, parents and delicate mini bums. 

When we moved to Australia, we panicked.

Baby wipes everywhere, liniment nowhere.

So, like any sleep-deprived parents, we made our own -  with a few late-night kitchen experiments we perfected the formula.

That’s how Cheeky Bébé was born - handcrafted in Australia, true to the original French formula, with just five clean, simple ingredients.

A little touch of France, made for modern Aussie families who secretly still Google “how to survive toddler meltdowns.”

A bit about us

We met in a bar in Paris, though we like to make up a new, slightly more romantic love story each time we tell it.

Laura had just landed from Cairns, fresh from her journalist adventures, and Gus was a French-Argentinian with an engineer’s brain and a flair for turning even the simplest problem into a project.

Laura likes to say Gus has the head of a German, the heart of an Argentine, and the flair of a Frenchman. She’s the storyteller; he’s the tinkerer.

Together, it’s a balance of spreadsheets, sparkles, and the occasional “Why are my keys in the fridge?” moments.

We’ve moved countries five times, speak a couple of languages at home, and can now change a nappy mid-flight without breaking a sweat.

When we’re not wrangling our girls, you’ll find us doing acroyoga (think: humans stacked like a Jenga tower), cooking up something delicious, or getting lost on a new hiking trail somewhere sunny.

Life with kids is messy, loud, and beautiful,  just the way we like it.
